Mrs. Orma E. Cameron, age 89, of Potsdam, NY passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena, NY where she had been a patient since May 21, 2003. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. There will be a burial in the spring at the Garfield Cemetery in Potsdam, NY. Condolences can be sent online @www.garnerfh.com. Contibutions in her memory can be made to the St. Regis Nursing Home @89 Grove St. Massena, NY 13662. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam, NY.
Orma E. Cameron was born August 6, 1920 to Henry and Margaret Denny Ladouceur in Ogdensburg, NY. She was married to Arthur Cameron on September 28, 1940. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, crafts and bingo. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church.
She is survived by two children Roger (Diane) Cameron of Webster, NY and daughter Judith Sickles of Hannawa Falls, NY; four grandchildren Todd Cameron (Webster, NY); Scott Cameron (Fairport, NY); Carrie Sickles (Massena, NY) and Lily Sickles (Burlington, VT); three stepgrandchildren Sam and Robert Sickles (Syracuse, NY) and Katrina Dems (North Syracuse, NY); four great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She has one brother Lloyd Ladouceur (Lisbon, NY). She was also surrounded by her wonderful family of staff at the St. Regis Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Cameron in 1999; brothers Royal, Theodore, Wilfred and Albert Ladouceur and sisters Gladys Ladouceur, Hilda Compeau and Sylvia Seguin.
